"We Run Westwood"..

Welcome to Saturday!!  YEAHHHHHHH….
Todays gonna be a good one. Challenging and fun, mixing it up a lil bit. Hope you all brushed up on your pa pa pa poker faces..
Deck of cards! Who knows whats gonna happen.
 
WOD:
 
Deck of Cards:
Take a deck of cards, shuffle.  Face cards are (10), Aces are (11), numbered cards are as valued.
Flip each card and perform the movement and the number of reps specified. Cycle whole deck (maybe twice).
  • Hearts – Burpees
  • Diamonds – Wall sits (10 seconds times the number)
  • Spades – Push-ups
  • Clubs – pull-ups
  • Joker - ??????????????

    You missed it Andrew. We worked out straight for an entire hour… My shirt was soaking wet, it looked like i jumped in a pool haha

    So yeah where do we start… Umm Tina and I like to try and have “fun” group WOD’s on saturdays.. This was wild.. Fun yes but holy cow hard.. WE did it after all of you and got stuck with a half mile run 10 burpess 110sec wallsit halfmile run smack in the middle.. MY quads are smoked like you wouldnt believ.

    excellent job new guys n gals..hope we see you again, hope you didnty get scared away.

    Deb G ur doing amaizing!! Chris wish we saw you more.. I like ur smile no matter what your doing..

    wow….what a workout today! I def. shot myself in the foot with those wall sits!!!! 110 seconds was forever….my quads are screaming…thank goodness for the rest day tomorrow!!!!!!!! Steve excellent job today, we flew through it

    Cathy (kathy)- today was a big step for you….i see your also a “gym” mentality woman….get over it babe because today was the beginning of a new mind set…you did great for a first timer…..kinda still in shock i’m sure. Hope to see you again..and bring in the husband!

    I am sanding and staining the railing of my deck today. Therefore I have been in a squat position for most of the day. I am wrecked. Quads haven’t felt like this in a while.

    Awesome work today everybody . Crossfit has many benefits but building mental strength is one of them. Today everybody who showed up finished the workout. That was amazing because it was really tough.

    Andrew and Randy we missed you. Tom? Are your saturday’s sacred or something? Next week. Foot, you would have loved this.

    I was all ready to come in this morning. My filling came out a couple weeks ago and I’ve been able to work through the pain,but this morning was worse then it’s ever been. Couldn’t even go back to sleep that’s how bad it was.

    Hey all! Im surprised my quads are feeling pretty good, but my core is wrecked! No pain, no gain! Loving it! Some of my friends that Ive brought say they aren’t answering the phone the next time I call! I guess Im going to have to go into the ‘Crossfit Ignite Witness Protection Program’ if Im going to keep on spreading the word! I look forward to tomorrow. That is as long as I dont see the WOD before I come! Enjoy!
