Randy upside down

WOD:
 
Skill Work:
Handstands
Video on the hollow body position, for getting over head.
Today work on getting upside down, hollowing out, and holding unassisted for a little longer then last time. If you can hold in a good hollowed out position for a substantial amount of time, start practicing the act lowering your head to the floor. Basically the beginning stage of an unassisted handstand push-up.
 
Met-Con:
As Many Rounds As Possible (AMRAP) in 20 min of:
15 – Body weight Push-ups
8 – Front Squat (70% 1 rm)
5 – Kettlebell Snatch per arm (53/35)

    Unfortunately I had to do 135lb hanging clean presses AFTER it got lowered. I’m gonna shoot for maybe 100lbs on the next test. lol

    Ah… it took Drew to explain that you are upset I knew about DOMS? hahahahaha

    I’ve known about that since like the 3rd Grade. Did it take you until you got kicked out of Canada to learn about it or something? Or is it supposed to be like a cult secret that you have to be a member of the 33rd order of a Masonic Temple to know about it? I didn’t realize DOMS was such a sacred thing to you.

    I think I feel bad that I know what DOMS is now. Steve… for you, I will try to forget what DOMS is, which will hopefully make you feel like you have your power back.

    Oh, and has anyone found my makeup kit? I think I left it at IGNITE next to Steve’s gym bag, and it suddenly disappeared!! :-)

    I havent posted in awhile (a month maybe??) I figured that either Steve or Tina would bust me about this so I am beating them to the punch:
    So …workout comments : wow. That was hard today. I think the front squats were killer. I keep thinking “Oh, that’s the toughest excercise for me.” And then we do another workout with something completely different and I change my mind.
    One more thing : I had no idea that so much thought goes into a handstand. I am a major respecter of the people who can walk around on their hands now.
    Okay, there it is. My “post of the month!”

    That tiny camera flash doesn’t have enough power to go more than 15 or so feet. So you’ll have to stand closer when the light is low.

    Well I was hoping you could help me out with the handstans…. When I tried them on tuesday it didnt go so well (to say the least) and I kept trying to work on them at home but I just cant seem to get it down. For me its all in my head and the fear that I am going to crash down on my neck and be paralyzed for the rest of my life!! (nice to picture it happening right before right??) Steve said that if anyone could help me take the doubt out of my head and get my body to just do it it would be you. But if you cant tonight I am sure we will have plenty of other times to do so : )

    Steve…..For a guy, what is considered a good squat weight for a workout like today’s workout? Is there an RX for it, or is 70% standard?
