Folks, Registration is open for the March 6 C2 race down in Nutley. http://prra.org/ergclassic/ You can register in the “Novice/Beginner” category if interested. I won’t be able to do this as it conflicts with my kid’s science fair. This is a very relaxed venue and a great way to try it out if you’re looking for a competitive goal for your C2 work. – Marc

    proper hydration

your body weight / divided in half + 16oz. = the amount of OZ of water you should drink daily.

    Ex.
    190 / 2 = 95 + 16 = 111oz apx 1 gallon of water daily

MY HANDS ARE SMOKED! Having tough time holding my pen this am…

  8. Marc M. on February 18th, 2010 3:58 pm

Should be called “AMRIP”, as in “am ripping my arms off with these knees to elbows!”.

    LOL Marc!!!

I like cruises too…. but I also like camping.

March 20th long weekend ski trip in vermont…. renting some condos… who’s in?

  11. Brad on February 18th, 2010 7:36 pm

Has… or is…. anyone doing the 135lbs for Hanging PC for this AMRAP?

I remember when we started, I could barely get through 5 in a row…. today should be interesting! :-)

    ^^^ Where in VT?^^^

A class trip to >>> NEW RIVER GORGE, West Virginia >>> White Water Rafting on the New River and the Gauly. The BIG snows of late mean BIG WATER on these rivers!!!!! Class VI Outfitters is a top notch group using rafts of 4 to 8 people and a river guide. Simply AMAZING! You’ll have fun until yer Daddy takes yer T-Bird away! Cruises????? Yuck! If ya can’t fish off of the boat, why even step aboard it?

Brad I did it with 95…but I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to split my clean into just the section needed. I did fine with the thrusters 2 weeks ago, but for some reason I was completely uncoordinated today. I found that the weight on the bar wasn’t the issue, but that my forearms were cooked from the knees-to-chest attempts and I couldn’t actually hold the bar for 10 reps!

Next Concept2 virtual challenge is the World Rowing Challenge starting March 15 – same format as the January Team Challenge – JohnO when you are back we should gear the team up for that!

  15. Neil on February 18th, 2010 8:39 pm

Yeah Brad, 135 is inconceivable for me, as this morning was the first time I’d bumped up from 75 to 95. My forearms and hands paid dearly…my theory on these is if you can get through a trial run of 10 without hurting too bad, you should be good to finish strong. Unfortunately, I didn’t listen to my own advice this am, and, well, let’s just say I’m glad tomorrow’s my rest day…

  16. Brad on February 18th, 2010 8:45 pm

We’ll see how it goes with 135. I’m happy doing the higher weight even if it means sacrificing rounds.

REGARDING VERMONT – I already have 6 people committed, maybe 8.

May be going to Mt. Snow, or Okemo, or Stratton…. 3 or 4 nights.. some people maybe 2 nights.

I’ll put whoever on the list if anyone, or group of people is interested in coming on up. If there is snow on the ground, a snowmobile tour will happen as well.

Going to try and get some condos going so the cost is less per person…. and they have kitchens… so the food can be healthy. :-) Even thought the beer won’t be! NO BUD LIGHT ALLOWED YOU FOOLS! ok ok.. I could make an exception, BUT I WON’T LIKE IT!!!

:-) Seriously…would love to have anyone along… let me know.
