I’d also like to give some big thanks to Deb M. The Simply Grazin Organic Meat delivery finally arrived today, and Deb M. showed up to help me split up the meat into all the coolers. It was very welcomed help, and she accepted my thanks with pure grace.

And not for nothing, she’s not too far away from a muscle up on the rings!

Lucy, what an amazing yoga class. It was the most challenging class and yet I left there feeling completely refreshed. You are an amazing spirit and have truly met your calling by teaching yoga. Plus I get to see Nick do Warrior II, Ahh dreamy! but shhhh! don’t tell Kenia.

Tina, Thanks for pushing me today and helping me increase my weight on the TGUs!!!!!

Here’s my blog folks (Nothing out of this world) but I do love to mention CrossFit!!!!:

Steve, Not too bad for a Cuban Puerto Rican raised in Washington Heights. Perhaps it was moving to Bergen County at the tender age of 11 that saved me. hehe!!

  10. Kenia on July 12th, 2010 11:05 pm

Katie, thanks for making me do the sprints and runs today. I know I said I hated you about 15 -20 times and I am pretty sure… in fact I know I meant every single one I said but you got me to them, sure you threatened me with physical violence if I did not complete them to your standards but the truth is is that I wouldn’t have done them without you!!! I dont look forward to the other mini wods you have waiting for me this week.

  11. Stef C. on July 12th, 2010 11:13 pm

    Yogi Spyder,
Your ability to do and hold each yoga move is awe inspiring! There were several times in which I fell over tonight due to taking a quick glimps (aka staring) at you in the mirror.

Now if we can only get Hockey Chris to join Lucy’s yoga class my life would be complete…. wait did I just say that???

  13. Brad on July 12th, 2010 11:20 pm

WOOHOOO!!! I CAN QUIT CROSSFIT NOW!!!

Bad Brad: the tgu is amazing. Probably one of the best I have seen on the internet. Very clean technique.
Stef: the celebration dance just completes the video. It is kind of like the cherry on top.

  29. Uncle Randy on July 13th, 2010 10:54 am

Today I winked at the beast. She ignored me, so I swung one of her little sisters during the wod, 80 lb.

  37. Steve on July 13th, 2010 2:12 pm

This was one the affiliate blog today, thought it was interesting and awesome! can anyone guess why?

“”CrossFit coaches and athletes who understand that optimism and a POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE can yield tremendous results in the gym have one thing in common: success. The athletes are performing at the top of their game, and the coaches are surrounded by thriving clients.” Greg Amundson

    Steve,

Please see post number 4. I’m 33 Steps ahead of you.

    Brad-Ass,

Where is the Brossfit Video? That happens to be my favortite.

    Spyder

  39. Brad on July 13th, 2010 2:23 pm

Steve and Tina built Ignite to such a degree that I’m only NEARLY as cool as every single other person at Ignite.

It’s that combined coolness that enables me… to be OSSMRTGUB

    Or… is it… RMSB ?

  40. Brad on July 13th, 2010 2:24 pm

    hahaha Bossfit!!!! hahahaha

    Love me some Bossfit Crossfit.

  41. Randy on July 13th, 2010 2:29 pm

So Steve loves Brad’s tgu skill and patience. I bet Steve admires my mad zombie drawing skills.

  42. Steve on July 13th, 2010 2:39 pm

this is true… between randy JR and Deb M ,., i feel like the zombie will slowly become our new mascot…

  43. Nick C on July 13th, 2010 4:24 pm

    Randy,

My relationship with the beast is quite different.

She is a tease and constantly leaves me feeling “blue” and angry.

I am going to have to play with her sister “96lber” and make her jealous till she caves in.

I can’t bare to watch any more videos of me failing to do the beast…makes me sick.

Brad, you are an animal and it really would not shock me to hear that you were knawing on your frozen beef on the car ride home last night.

I can’t wait to get the beast done so i can play with the barbell TGU’s.

P.S. what sane human being deadlifts there boss at work or does TGU with a Folding table at work? hahah

    CFI, that’s what we do!

  44. Neil on July 13th, 2010 4:53 pm

WOD2 (from the CFE site): 5 x 800M @ 5k pace (7 min mile; 3:30/800M) with same time rest between sets.

    Exhausted.

  45. Steve on July 13th, 2010 5:02 pm

neil.. i never ate chilly before.. **hint**

  46. Steve on July 13th, 2010 5:02 pm

    Nick C and Mark L

I had a sighting of “the birds nest killer” from the pizza eatting contest this afternoon in westwood..

he gave me a croocked smile with a side stare..

  47. Brad on July 13th, 2010 5:05 pm

    Nick,
I was in fact able to contain myself until I got home. But as soon as I walked in the door I unwrapped a rib-eye, put it in a waterproof ziploc plastic bag, and put that in warm water. I had it defrosted and perfectly grilled (I have video!!) about 1.5 hrs later. It was super delicious!

  48. Steve on July 13th, 2010 5:18 pm

by the way I SWUNG THE BEAST the entire 20 min… hello!!??
    lol

  49. Katie on July 13th, 2010 5:23 pm

The beast for men is 88 pounds?

    Kenia,
No need to thank me for yesterday. I took sick pleasure in hearing every “I hate you”. The more you bitched and moaned, the more miserable I knew you were and thus, the more enthralled my sadistic side was. Can’t wait to torture you tomorrow :)

    And Nick,
Shame on your ass for trying to make your crossfit wifey jealous using me! Good thing everyone knows you weren’t staring at my warrior two pose since we all know I was probably taking a personal break during yoga.

    And Lucy,
Thank you so much for the yoga class. That was incredibly hard for me to do so I know its something I need to do to challenge myself. Thanks for pushing me like always :)

  50. Katie on July 13th, 2010 5:48 pm

To clarify, I meant that yoga is hard because I’m so not flexible and its something I know I need to work on. I really appreciated you inviting us to your class because I would never stretch like that on my own. I need someone to coach me through because yoga challenges all my weak points and it was so great to have you guide me and push me to do something I might not normally try because its not as easy for me as running. :) My body felt great after class!

  51. Steve on July 13th, 2010 5:55 pm

    beast is 105# !!!

  52. Uncle Randy on July 13th, 2010 7:05 pm

Did anyone else do a heavy KB swing beside me and the Cheese?

  53. Vic on July 13th, 2010 7:41 pm

First, I cleaned my grill to prepare for the meat. My heart rate was up around 140 as I was nervous about drying it out. I put a little bit of Quebec steak seasoning from Fairway. Heated the grill up hot just to finish the clean job, then seared one side of rubbed beef. I turned it low for the next 10 minutes or so, flipped it.

Perfectly cooked. Had with some carmelized mushrooms and red onion. We cooked the ribeye, strip steak and a tenderloin (the best).

Absolute perfection. I am very pleased.

  54. Katie on July 13th, 2010 8:21 pm

So Steve, you were basically swinging Tina in the WOD today? Nice

  55. tina on July 13th, 2010 8:27 pm

    Katie too funny lol

  56. neil on July 13th, 2010 8:30 pm

Made chili last night by cooking some veggies in the rendered fat of the ground beef and adding beans and tomatoes. Spices too. Like Vic, very satisfied.

  57. Brad on July 13th, 2010 9:29 pm

Nice, love hearing feedback about the BEEF!!

Steve. Awesome job on SWINGING THE BEAST!!!!

  58. Greg P. on July 13th, 2010 9:36 pm

I may have swung the beast as well. Not 9 1/2 rounds, though.

By the way, since people are linking to blogs, you are invited to check out http://www.wayfor.org. This is my graduate thesis project and my next career (i hope). Anyway, there is a 3 minute video on the home page that explains what it is and how it works.

  59. Greg P. on July 13th, 2010 9:40 pm

By the way, Brad. I’ve never seen anything as amazing and upsetting as the 135 TGU. It looks like a hollywood special effect in the video.

  60. Brad on July 13th, 2010 10:12 pm

Thanks Greg! and sorry? hah. You have what it takes to get it too though… I know it. You hammered out the beast already, didn’t you? I think I was there.. I have picture proof actually.

And by the way to you too Greg… Your website is fantastic. I can easily see the utterly HUGE potential it has. I truly hope you can turn it into a lifelong career for yourself. But it’s not just for yourself, is it?

Site has a great Web 2.0 look and feel as well.

  61. john agar on July 13th, 2010 10:18 pm

    I like the site Greg

  62. Stef C. on July 13th, 2010 11:04 pm

Can I dance in everyone’s video?

  63. Brad on July 13th, 2010 11:47 pm

Stef, I totally need more video’s of you dancing to put at the end of everything.
