Seriously Coach Stevers? AY YAY YAY! Well I’ll be there first thing in the morning to deal with this woman named Kelly.

  2. Neil on July 26th, 2010 9:32 pm

    Can’t wait for this one…

  3. STEF C. on July 26th, 2010 9:54 pm

If I were to cherry pick, this would be the one, but will I cherry pick? NO. Why? Cause Stef C. does not cherry pick no matter how challenging a WOD might appear. Will she be there? Yes. (this is me talking to myself, convincing myself to go tomorrow at 6 am)

  4. Chris B on July 26th, 2010 9:55 pm

Yea stef. I wanna see steve do the wod with the 6pm class tomorrow

  5. Neil on July 26th, 2010 10:05 pm

30″ box jumps anyone? Craig? KFJ?

  6. Brad on July 26th, 2010 10:07 pm

ROBIN – I left something for you in the freezer/fridge….

  7. The Jackyl on July 26th, 2010 10:08 pm

now 150 30″ box jumps plus1 1/4 mile run plus 150 wallballs.. thats stepping it up

  8. Nick C on July 26th, 2010 10:10 pm

Neil, dont forget about me, I only do the 30 inch Box! I love to over precribe myself!

That being said, see you wednesday, cause i am a cherry picker.haha

    SPYDER

  9. Stephanie on July 26th, 2010 10:24 pm

As I am a Stephanie, and Stephanie’s do not cherry pick (as mentioned above), I will be there at 9:30 tomorrow.

That’s not to say that I won’t offer to help make the wod more challenging for any taker who wants to push me in a wheel barrel for all 5 rounds of the 400m run! Anyone?

  10. KFJ on July 26th, 2010 10:51 pm

Neil…sorry dude ..Tuesday is my day off…big kungfu day on Tuesdays..5-10pm need to be fresh for the workouts…next time..and do the 30″!!!

  11. Mike on July 27th, 2010 2:15 am

C’mon Neil who doesn’t do the 30″ box jump. and steve when did u get a nick name? whats mine?

  12. neil on July 27th, 2010 7:53 am

33 mins and small change. 30″ box.

    Ouch.

    Round 3 – hurts.

  13. Adam on July 27th, 2010 7:54 am

Great job this morning by the 6 am group. Not easy to come in after those deadlifts.

  14. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 8:17 am

    I already dont like Kelly!

  15. George on July 27th, 2010 9:56 am

Steve, all I have to say is “ARE YOU CRAZY”, whats the workout for those over 50.

  16. Brad on July 27th, 2010 10:05 am

Neil did 33 minutes? Youch.. I’ll be 66 minutes then. Better let me start early.

  17. Steve on July 27th, 2010 10:08 am

george your \scale is a 30″ box and 95# thrusters instead of wall balls.. 10 rounds

  18. George on July 27th, 2010 10:29 am

I’m not 30′ tall, thats like rock climbing

  19. Robin on July 27th, 2010 10:52 am

@Bad Brad – I will see you this afternoon! Thanks!

  20. Brad on July 27th, 2010 11:13 am

    My strategy for today…

    1. Bang out the first round
    2. Strain through the second round
    3. Suffer and agonize through the third round
    4. Let my mind go into that “other place” for the fourth round
    5. Beg for it to end through the fifth round.

Dread the WOD – It’s what we do!

    hahaha

  21. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 12:21 pm

    Bad Brad 6pm?

  22. Vastinator on July 27th, 2010 12:26 pm

I’m already hitting refresh to see what the Wed WOD is!!!! Kidding…DOMS, here I come.

  23. Greg P. on July 27th, 2010 12:43 pm

OK. Got into Colorado Springs Sunday night. Monday afternoon, went to Red Rocks Crossfit.

They are lead by a guy who coached weight lifting for the USA olympic team. We did something called ‘the bear’. “the bear’ sucks.

    7 sequences of:
hanging clean to front squat to push press to back squat to push press and back to hand clean and so on. No putting the bar down for the 7 sequences. We had to do 5 rounds of that with rest between rounds.

Everything here is measured in kilos. So I started with 30 kilos and worked up to 50 kilos. Now in fairness, after 3 rounds, I puked up a lung because I’m at 6,500 feet. So, I figure one lung weighs about 5 kilos, so, you do the math… I’m to tired.

One thing I have to say is that the thin air helps with box jumps. I was able to get up on a 39 inch box 4 times doing a hurdle jump to box jump.

Miss you guys. Sorry I won’t be there to see off and welcome back old friends.

    Greg P.

  24. Greg P. on July 27th, 2010 1:09 pm

Also, another strange thing about working out here – You know how when we show up at CFI, Steve’s name is on the board with some unbelievable number next to it, yet no one actually saw him do the WOD? Well here, the instructor (are you sitting down?) worked out with us. It totally freaked me out ; )

  25. Lili on July 27th, 2010 1:23 pm

Greg, That’s a very interesting observation. Has anyone actually seen Steve work out? I don’t know that I’ve seen him do a WOD start to finish. Hmmm….

  26. Nick D on July 27th, 2010 1:32 pm

So tomorrow are we all going as swetty messes from ignite or are we showering??

  27. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 1:38 pm

I saw him sucking wind last Friday when I showed up early for the 5pm class…..

  28. Chris B on July 27th, 2010 1:46 pm

I have worked out with steve and coached him along. he works hard. but im calling steve out to do todays wod side by side with the 6pm class

  29. Steve on July 27th, 2010 1:46 pm

    What theheck is this!!!!

Nick D, im going straight from work.. so….

  30. Steve on July 27th, 2010 1:47 pm

    Rest Day… Sorry..

    train smart…

  31. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 1:55 pm

    Haha Rest Day!

  32. Brad on July 27th, 2010 1:57 pm

Yep, I’ll be there at 6pm….

And on Wednesday, I’ll be going all sweaty and smelly to Nick D’s drunk fest.

  33. Steve on July 27th, 2010 1:59 pm

where are the people defending my honor here..

Rich , Mike, Randy , Johnboy, TINA!! I have trainined along side all thes people.before..

    i smell a revolt..
Funny how Greg likes to cause a ruckus when he is far far away from the gym

I dont workout in class because i value your dollars spent at Ignite and try to give the best training experience possible.. I feel i would be dong a diservice concentrating on my time and my workout while you are doing deadlifts possibly falling out of form ,, get it.. Greg i think you forgot your pink scarf at the gym before you left

  34. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 2:02 pm

Brad I dont think they serve Das Boot at the Horse. But maybe we can figure something else out.

Steve- good coaching yesterday cause my back is killing me.

  35. Steve on July 27th, 2010 2:08 pm

    Trev dnt even go there..

  36. Brad on July 27th, 2010 2:12 pm

T-Rev – We allowed to bring our own boot??

Mike with no nickname works there… maybe he has a suggestion.

  37. Tina on July 27th, 2010 2:17 pm

well….I indeed have watched, worked out alongside and have coached Steve through the same workouts you guys do daily. So YES he does workout and he workouts out harder than anyone I know! :)

  38. Trevor H on July 27th, 2010 2:30 pm

    Thats cute.

Steve- really meant it in a good way. I am sore!

Brad- They used to serve Big Octoberfest Mugs.

  39. Steve on July 27th, 2010 2:41 pm

Iron Horse is home of the best burgers.. for all you non Paleo people the cheese is inside the actual burger..! get into it..
For all you Paleo people they kindly wrap any sandwich in lettuce for you.. its not werid to ask tina and I broke the ice for you on that..
THey do serve Spatten there.. ihear thats a good beer..
Im done with beer.. i quit sorry.. cant getinto it..

  40. Brad on July 27th, 2010 2:55 pm

I think Steve got into it too quickly with the beer. It’s like we put him into Power Cleans before teaching him deadlifts, front squats, and kettle bell swings.

We need to back him off a little bit, and re-introduce him slowly. Not just hit him with the hard stuff right away.

Perhaps start with a nice, smooth, milky, 200 calorie Guiness.

  41. Steve on July 27th, 2010 2:57 pm

Figure I would pass this along…

    http://www.hobokenpumpandrun.com/details.php

This is a charity event max bench press then 5k..

  42. Marisa on July 27th, 2010 3:13 pm

Steve you need to stick with stouts – try:

    Alesmith Speedway Stout (12%)
    Victory Storm King Stout (9.1%)
Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout (9.5%)
    Stone Imperial Russian Stout (10.5%)

These all have hints of chocolate and coffee

  43. Marisa on July 27th, 2010 3:17 pm

BTW I had a little beer fridge clearing get together last night with around 8 people and I still have about 7 bombers left. After it’s done hopefully this week, I’m going to limit myself to 1-2 beers a week instead of 1-2 a day :)

  44. Steve on July 27th, 2010 3:19 pm

    Smart move..

eat lean meants veggies some friuits nuts n seed.. limit beer intake..
guaranteed performance and body comp change..

  45. Brad on July 27th, 2010 4:12 pm

I like Victory and Stone beers..

But Marisa, Steve can’t handle that high alcohol percent. We need to keep him on the 4-5% beers.

Now I on the other hand, would love to drink those that you mentioned. lol

But I have a wedding coming up!

  46. Uncle Randy on July 27th, 2010 4:50 pm

I have to defend Steve’s honor. I have worked out with both Steve and Tina on many occasions. Steve goes into serious mode where you can’t talk to him and Tina’s form on most exercises makes me feel like less of a man.
Vasti are you back? Una latina mas que puedo querer.
Nancy: your little guy is adorable. Forgot to post that yesterday.

  47. Lili on July 27th, 2010 4:54 pm

Steve, you know I’m just kidding and in fact believe you are the hardest working man in that box.

  48. Deb G on July 27th, 2010 5:07 pm

I have seen proof of Steve working out. Back in the very early days at Ignite, there were only night classes. So, Id come to the 5pm class and Steve and Tina would be finishing up the WOD before Ignite’s first class of each day. They’d come skipping down the alley way holding hands making it look all nice and easy :)

  49. Steve on July 27th, 2010 5:12 pm

p.s the chop busting toward me didnt offend me i can take it.. idish it out enuf.. sorry if anyone took my comments as upset

  50. Chris B on July 27th, 2010 7:27 pm

Steve I do not care about ur feelings

  51. Kenia on July 27th, 2010 8:35 pm

Chris you care about Steve’s feelings just as much as he cared that you were going to puke… none at all!!

  52. Nick C on July 27th, 2010 8:37 pm

“I want to Spend More Time Coaching”…hahaha

  53. Chris B on July 27th, 2010 8:48 pm

    Less is more

  54. Stef C. on July 27th, 2010 10:29 pm

Steve, I’m only about 4 months in and i have to say I’ve seen you do a WOD once, but it was lonely and you did it all by yourself, which I think is harder to do, so people give the guy props for doing his WODS all alone because Lord knows I can’t do these WODS without someone shouting at me or cheering me on. (Steve did not pay me to say this)

  55. Marc Monplaisir on July 27th, 2010 10:54 pm

Death WOD today…then CFE 10×30 secs sprints on-water

  56. john agar on July 27th, 2010 10:56 pm

This is coming from Nick who said he is training for strength not speed lol

  57. Dickie on July 27th, 2010 11:22 pm

Sorry Steve. Just got to reading these and I can confirm Steve does the workouts. In fact, he is so serious, he refuses to acknowledge your presence.
