OK – anyone out there want to tell me what a Superman is? I’m afraid to ask!

Should be there tomorrow morning – 8:30 and 9:30 classes in the morning Steve? Not posted anywhere. By the way, how are you doing classes in the morning after wearing the penguin suit tonight? Good luck with that! Hope you guys are having fun!

  4. Neil on July 30th, 2010 9:14 pm

DUDE – (I know it’s the second post I’ve started with that word, but this WOD brings it out in me) – Are you kidding me? You did (roughly) 100 135lb OHS? Wow. My. Hero.

  5. Marc Monplaisir on July 30th, 2010 9:26 pm

  7. Brad on July 30th, 2010 9:45 pm

I also did 6-4-2 so it was 110 OHS total. Nick C. Instigated that nonsense…. :-)

  8. Nick C on July 30th, 2010 10:03 pm

Good job Brad Ass..way to add insult to my pain with the 6-4-2. but cant wait to see what my next challenge is.

Who’s the newest member of the 30″ box club?…

  14. Lili on July 31st, 2010 11:40 am

Adam: Yay! Is that my Ethan? He came home beaming and raving about your help. Thank you so much. He’s been dreaming about those 30 inches.

Steve and Tina: I hope you both have a fantastically fun and relaxing vacation. You so very much deserve it.

Adam and Lucy: Can’t wait to train with you both this week. So excited, especially after my slacker/cherry picking of a week off.

  15. Brad on July 31st, 2010 11:47 am

I am soooo sore!!!!!!!!!!!!! My legs haven’t been this trashed since my elements classes so long ago. Shoulders are pretty ripped up too…. But no injuries at least. :) . Now I gotta start crawling around my house running electric. Should be fun…. *cough*

  16. Adam on July 31st, 2010 12:37 pm

Lili, he worked so hard at getting it. Next up for him are the three tires.

  17. Greg P on July 31st, 2010 1:07 pm

OK. Third and final workout at RedRocks Crossfit in Colorado Springs. It sucked.

    For time:

    Run 400 meters then,

    50 Push-ups
    Run 400 meters then,

    50 Squats
    Run 400 meters then,

    50 Box jumps on a 24″ box (18″ box)
    Run 400 meters then,

50 Wal ball shots using 20 lbs (14lbs)

    I RX’ed it in very painful, self-pittying 23:42.

Heading up to Telluride tomorrow. I hope this week and these 4 workouts have prepared me for the altitude jump.

    I’ll let you know.

Brad – sounds like I missed something truly amazing. Nice work.

  18. Marc Monplaisir on July 31st, 2010 3:17 pm

2nd place in Quaker City Regatta – I lost to my former doubles partner from the early 90s in Philly who went on to win a silver at the Atlanta games. I felt pretty good – much more consistent throughout the piece, with some gas left in the tank to sprint. I beat my clubmate by 4 seconds who edged my by a half-second in this same race a year ago, so I’ll take it. I still need to find s few more seconds in the next 2 weeks before Masters Nationals, so I’m looking forward to some KB swings and box jumps….

  19. Brad on July 31st, 2010 3:55 pm

Very nice Marc! 4 seconds is a good bit of time! These all 2000 meter races?

  20. KFJ on July 31st, 2010 3:58 pm

Way to go Marc..!!! You made up 4.5 seconds in a year..SICK!!

  21. Steve on July 31st, 2010 4:00 pm

lookin goof=d marc… always impressed with your stats.,.

    Greg we miss you too..

  22. Steve on July 31st, 2010 4:02 pm

one of the most important things i learned trainig pro athletes and colege athletes in the past was this..

a 10th of a second is the difference between a 2 million dollar contract and saying yeah i had a shot at the pro’s

4.5 second increase in speed is phenominal.. like un-heard of. 4.5 seconds doesnt sound like that much , but its an eternity for racers who are againt the clock.. its the difference between 1st and 4th place..

  23. john agar on July 31st, 2010 11:03 pm

    wow great job marc!

  24. STEF C. on August 1st, 2010 8:29 am

Stef – you rock my world and are a larger than life inspiration…..
    You go girlfriend!

Marc – do you think we could build a little water way in our parking lot? Would love to add a few regattas to our wods! Somehow it’s just not the same without the water!

  28. Brad on August 1st, 2010 1:16 pm

Stef, you are an amazing person to overcome such huge obstacles…. you and your sister are inspirations to us all.

  29. Lucy on August 1st, 2010 1:24 pm

Stef…OMG what a story. You not only are an inspiration to me but to so many others. Remember it is not the destination but the journey and man your journey is AMAZING. Your story really needs to be shared.
    Love you.

  30. Brad on August 1st, 2010 3:26 pm

Alright, so who has a beer boot? Cause the workout I’m dreaming up for Nick C. (for cohercing me into 6-4-2) starts with a big Crossfit Boot Chug.

  31. Nick C on August 1st, 2010 4:13 pm

    Brad,

Ironically< i actually own a Boot. Typically i use it during breakfast, but i will bring it CFi for you and and your challenge. I'm looking foward to this challenge.

  32. Robin on August 1st, 2010 4:38 pm

@Stef C: I’m forwarding your story to all my friends & family. Thanks for sharing! This is exactly what the CFI Kool Aid is made out of: awesome people overcoming extraordinary circumstances mix in with crazy WODs led by heavy metal loving dictator.

  33. Brad on August 1st, 2010 10:25 pm

Robin, that bourbon beer is AMAZING!!

Are you enjoying the coffee? Wanna try a different roast? Different bean?

  34. Brad on August 1st, 2010 10:25 pm

    Nick, you own a boot??????

    BRING IT IN!!!!!!

  35. john agar on August 1st, 2010 11:27 pm
