Thanks everyone for cheering me on with Friday’s workout. It really helped me get’er done!
Brad that was awesome to watch you rx that workout then go and do rx+ . Sets 6 4 2.
OK – anyone out there want to tell me what a Superman is? I’m afraid to ask!
Should be there tomorrow morning – 8:30 and 9:30 classes in the morning Steve? Not posted anywhere. By the way, how are you doing classes in the morning after wearing the penguin suit tonight? Good luck with that! Hope you guys are having fun!
DUDE – (I know it’s the second post I’ve started with that word, but this WOD brings it out in me) – Are you kidding me? You did (roughly) 100 135lb OHS? Wow. My. Hero.
Sorry I’ll miss it…racing in Philadelphia Sat AM.
mark “skul crusher ” racing on sat, is what you do!!
go get em
I also did 6-4-2 so it was 110 OHS total. Nick C. Instigated that nonsense….
Brad,
You are an absolute animal! I got about halfway with attempting to RX this one. It took me 10 minutes to finish the first 2 rounds of this wod RX….i finally caved and gave in in the round of 14. I dont know how u did, my legs are like jello right now! i couldnt even get off the can! (tmi) haha
Good job Brad Ass..way to add insult to my pain with the 6-4-2. but cant wait to see what my next challenge is.
Spyder
I am proud to say that I was witness to Brad’s incredible feat!!!!!!! Everyday I am amazed more and more by the athletic superhuman powers that you all posess. Me, well I am trying to survive, one rep at a time, but I know what my superhuman power is, loving and cheering all of you on.
Steve and Tina, we wish you both a wonderful vacation since you two deserve it for all the hard work, passion and love you put into making us all into xfit superhumans. Enjoy each and every second of it. You two will be missed greatly!
Who will keep an eye on Spyder and make sure he doesnt blog Rated-R inappropriate material or slack off during WODs now that Steve and Tina are on vacay ?
Ok, as i sit poolside with 2 Puerto Ricans and a Domincan….we realize that not enough people are invloved in August 15th’s compettion down at the beach.

Spyder
Well to all you CHERYY PICKERS
who didnt show up today..
We will see you in a week!
Welcome to the newest member of 30″ box club.
Who’s the newest member of the 30″ box club?…
Adam: Yay! Is that my Ethan? He came home beaming and raving about your help. Thank you so much. He’s been dreaming about those 30 inches.
Steve and Tina: I hope you both have a fantastically fun and relaxing vacation. You so very much deserve it.
Adam and Lucy: Can’t wait to train with you both this week. So excited, especially after my slacker/cherry picking of a week off.
I am soooo sore!!!!!!!!!!!!! My legs haven’t been this trashed since my elements classes so long ago. Shoulders are pretty ripped up too…. But no injuries at least.
. Now I gotta start crawling around my house running electric. Should be fun…. *cough*
Lili, he worked so hard at getting it. Next up for him are the three tires.
OK. Third and final workout at RedRocks Crossfit in Colorado Springs. It sucked.
For time:
Run 400 meters then,
50 Push-ups
Run 400 meters then,
50 Squats
Run 400 meters then,
50 Box jumps on a 24″ box (18″ box)
Run 400 meters then,
50 Wal ball shots using 20 lbs (14lbs)
I RX’ed it in very painful, self-pittying 23:42.
Heading up to Telluride tomorrow. I hope this week and these 4 workouts have prepared me for the altitude jump.
I’ll let you know.
Brad – sounds like I missed something truly amazing. Nice work.
2nd place in Quaker City Regatta – I lost to my former doubles partner from the early 90s in Philly who went on to win a silver at the Atlanta games. I felt pretty good – much more consistent throughout the piece, with some gas left in the tank to sprint. I beat my clubmate by 4 seconds who edged my by a half-second in this same race a year ago, so I’ll take it. I still need to find s few more seconds in the next 2 weeks before Masters Nationals, so I’m looking forward to some KB swings and box jumps….
Very nice Marc! 4 seconds is a good bit of time! These all 2000 meter races?
Way to go Marc..!!! You made up 4.5 seconds in a year..SICK!!
lookin goof=d marc… always impressed with your stats.,.
Greg we miss you too..
one of the most important things i learned trainig pro athletes and colege athletes in the past was this..
a 10th of a second is the difference between a 2 million dollar contract and saying yeah i had a shot at the pro’s
4.5 second increase in speed is phenominal.. like un-heard of. 4.5 seconds doesnt sound like that much , but its an eternity for racers who are againt the clock.. its the difference between 1st and 4th place..
wow great job marc!
CrossFit IGNITION!!!

Great job Greg, we should try that one.
Mark…King of the water…awesome.
Proud of you Stef
Stef – you rock my world and are a larger than life inspiration…..
You go girlfriend!
Marc – do you think we could build a little water way in our parking lot? Would love to add a few regattas to our wods! Somehow it’s just not the same without the water!
Stef, you are an amazing person to overcome such huge obstacles…. you and your sister are inspirations to us all.
Stef…OMG what a story. You not only are an inspiration to me but to so many others. Remember it is not the destination but the journey and man your journey is AMAZING. Your story really needs to be shared.
Love you.
Alright, so who has a beer boot? Cause the workout I’m dreaming up for Nick C. (for cohercing me into 6-4-2) starts with a big Crossfit Boot Chug.
Brad,
Ironically< i actually own a Boot. Typically i use it during breakfast, but i will bring it CFi for you and and your challenge. I'm looking foward to this challenge.
@Stef C: I’m forwarding your story to all my friends & family. Thanks for sharing! This is exactly what the CFI Kool Aid is made out of: awesome people overcoming extraordinary circumstances mix in with crazy WODs led by heavy metal loving dictator.
Robin, that bourbon beer is AMAZING!!
Are you enjoying the coffee? Wanna try a different roast? Different bean?
Nick, you own a boot??????
BRING IT IN!!!!!!
DAS BOOT!!!! Steph great story, you have been a constant source of encouragement since day one for me
