    Hey Neil, just as an FYI, in case you keep records.

    9.55 Miles
    11:03 Average Pace. The hill at the end crushed the average. We held an 8:30 up to that point.

    Everyone should know that Neil laid a pair of Vibrams to rest after our run today. Actually, he killed them with about a mile and half to go and carried them the rest of the way.

    Looking forward to FGB in September. Starting tomorrow I want to really concentrate on training hard and sticking somewhat to Paleo/ Zone. I had to post it and make it public so I am more accountable.

    Lucy, I need you to hold me accountable too. Tonight i had to throw out that which tempts me (i.e., almond butter, dark chocolate bars, lara bars, etc.) Just focusing on lean meats, veggies, and low-glycemic fruits. We can do this Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds!

    That was all Neil. I was targeting a 10 minute average. Apparently our pace was a “slow run” for Neil. I did have a couple of “i want to jump in the bush moments” but all in all it was worth it.

    Katie – I run every Sunday morning at the Palisades, sometimes with Neil, on trails. You are more than welcome to join.

    You know you are getting old when:

    FOUR FREAKING DAYS LATER….. my bicep, where it attaches to my lower arm/elbow area, IS STILL KILLING ME!!!! argh!

    Those 75 pullups from Thursday really destroyed me. I need to do more pullups, more often…. after I heal up that is.

    Septeber 26th Mike Wilson will be doing the “Tunnel to Towers” run..
    This is a memorial 5k commemorating 9/11
    Ive spoke to people in the past who have done this run . It is a HIGHLY emotional run. somehting you will remeber forever..
    google it and post if yout gonna do it..

    We run however fast people can run…seriously. Saturdays/Sundays early in Alpine on the Palisades. We meet at the Dunkin in Emerson.

    Love to see everyone. But I’d really love to see Steve run 5. Or 6. Maybe 8 or who knows, 10.
