So, as I was going through my nightly ritual of posing and flexing my crossfit muscles in the mirror…… I noticed this really long barbell shaped bruise going across my back. It’s huge, and nicely purple! Lol. I’ve squatted way more than 145lbs before, but I guess it was from catching the bar on my back.
Babell bruises are things of beauty. Anyone else got a good one from the third workout?

  12. KFJ on August 26th, 2010 11:25 pm

    Tony, Trevor, and Adam,

Thank you for the team effort to wake me up for the 6 am class today.

    Steve and the 6amers,

Thank you for tolerating the fact that I am the worst human being in the morning. Despite the fact that I was unable to process the information on the blackboard and did the wrong number of reps during the skill, could not add 15 +15 +45 and needed Steve to tell me how many of each kind of bumpers I needed, and whined my way through the entire hour, I somehow finished the WOD. Even while being such a pain in the ass, you guys cheered me on through my final set of burpees. What a great morning crew! I hope one day you guys visit the 6pm class when my brain functions slightly better… actually who am I kidding… I just blend in at 6pm because our whole crew is a bunch of airheads (love you guys).

    And Steve,
No need to worry about enforcing that 6am ban on me… I’m pretty sure mountains would have to move for me to wake up this early again.

    Katie

Ps. It’s a bad sign when Steve stops making flash card jokes, puts on a serious face, and really does check to see if you understand what you are supposed to be doing. Low point lol. :)

  18. Stef C. on August 27th, 2010 7:52 am

@KATIE: 6PM-AIR HEADS? I don’t think its that we are air heads so much as to the fact that we can’t stop talking and never pay attention. Ok, who am I kidding, we are air heads! hehe

  19. Katie on August 27th, 2010 8:00 am

Also, I don’t know if Craig reads this blog but I just have to say I’m a fan. I think I’ve been to two or three 6 am wods and you are a huge motivator in the morning class everytime. :)

  20. Katie on August 27th, 2010 8:05 am

@ Stef, I may have been thinking of you specifically when I made that comment.

Just kidding. I love you too much.

oh and Lucy, sorry for the phone call about the rice balls… but I kind of meant it. That and I really really really need to do some yoga with you. My legs are so tight.

  21. Coach Steve on August 27th, 2010 8:19 am

  24. Katie on August 27th, 2010 8:33 am

    And Chris,
People make burpees out to be worse than they are. No need to worry!

Got some grass fed, grass FINISHED london broil from these guys. Not cheap, but darn good. Grass finished means they’ve never touched grain and they’re usually older since it takes longer to get the steer to full weight on grass alone.

Had a great conversation with the owner too.

  30. Brad on August 27th, 2010 6:20 pm

Neil, yea looked into those guys before going with the place in Skillman, NJ. Definitely not cheap, but to know there are no hormones in it is worth the expense.

  31. Chris SanGiovanni on August 27th, 2010 6:58 pm

Thank you to all the people in today’s 5 o’clock class for helping me and pushing me through my first official crossfit class today, all of you rock.

  32. Robin on August 27th, 2010 7:38 pm

Nope Chris you rock for finishing & walking into this box…

  33. john agar on August 27th, 2010 10:20 pm
